Student Mobility January 2016

From the 17th to the 24th of January 2016, the first mobility of the Teaching Innovative Practices in STEM (TIPS) Erasmus+ KA219 Project took place in Gijón. The project, coordinated by CODEMA has a two-year duration (2015-2017) and is based in the exchange of good STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) teaching practices among the following schools:

-Lycee Marguerite Yourcenar (France)

-Sint Donatus Instituut (Belgium)

-Istituto Enrico Fermi (Italy)

Over the week of the mobility, seven students from each of the partner schools stayed at Gijón and lived with their spanish host families. All in all, 42 students and 20 teachers (14 from CODEMA) took part in the activities of the project, that had great impact in the whole spanish school from Primary to last year of Secondary. The agenda had different institutional activities (meeting at the Town Hall with the Mayor of Education); workshops at the school (visit to the Labs, sharing of good practices from the spanish school, presentation of different STEM projects in which CODEMA has taken part: nanOpinion, inGenious, GoLab), visits to technological companies (Prodintec) and the Engineering University, and cultural activities (visit to Llagar Trabanco).
